What is coprophagia and why do I care?

coprophagia means to eat fecal matter (i.e. poop). It is fairly common in dogs. However, it is not good for them since it is possible to acquire parasites and diseases from fecal matter. So, in addition to making sure your dog has proper vaccinations, you should keep an eye out for coprophagia.
